Fourth Ward Capital Partners, L.P. commenced operations on January 1, 2024 as a private investment partnership for U.S. investors. Being a new fund, our mission is to achieve superior long-term returns for our partners while preserving capital in all market environments. We pursue this by investing in a concentrated, limited number of high-conviction equity positions (primarily U.S. companies) and balancing the portfolio with a smaller portion of short positions to hedge risk.
We are proudly an Atlanta-based fund, which allows us to take advantage of the city’s growing financial and technology ecosystem. Our location outside of the New York spotlight means we remain insulated from the Wall Street hype and noise, enabling a disciplined focus on fundamentals and value. This independent perspective is a key part of our identity.
Fourth Ward’s strategy is built upon the successful investing process honed over decades by our principals. In fact, Fourth Ward’s leadership previously founded and managed Seminole Capital (a long-running hedge fund), which achieved a 14.7% average annual return (net of fees) from 1995 to 2018. We leverage this proven methodology in our new venture. Since the conclusion of Seminole’s run, our principals have also been active in academia – teaching “Equity Investing” at Georgia Tech’s Scheller College of Business, where they impart techniques like Discounted Cash Flow (DCF) analysis to the next generation of analysts. Fourth Ward brings these academic insights together with real-world experience, adding a fresh analytical rigor to our traditional strategy.

We continually monitor our net exposure (long vs. short balance) and sector exposures to keep the fund’s volatility in check. If the market turns sharply or our exposures drift, we adjust hedges or positions to dampen volatility and protect the downside.
